PC
CNC wood router is runned by computers. So it requires basic PC information and typing for cnc wood router operator.  The cnc wood router operator must know some codes that tell the CNC what to do and how to enter the codes into the computer. The operator must also need to know how to active individual components manually, when the machine is not working properly, and know how to read diagnosis of cnc wood router machine problems from code read-outs.
CNC Wood Router Knives
CNC machines have a wide assortment of knives. The cnc wood router operator must understand each and every knife. He must know every knife's function, and know how to measure each knives' cutting radius with calipers, and then enter the knife data into the cnc wood router machine's computer. He must also know how to sharpen or "grind" the knife. There is an order in which the knives must be assembled. The CNC uses this order to automatically select certain knives to perform certain procedures. This order can never be compromised. Knife, care, maintenance and order is a skill that must be understood completely.
Muscle
The CNC operator must have a strong back and be capable of lifting heavy weights all day. Even though the cnc wood router machine cuts the projects automatically, the operator has to lift them onto the CNC table, position them correctly and then remove them when the machine has completed the task. The operator must be able to stand on his feet for hours at a time.

Eventorbot! Open source 3D printer. Simple with less materials. Frame is made of a single 4' long, 2 1/2" square tube (16 gauge/1.5mm/.0598" thick, cost: less then $20.00). With this design there is less plastic parts, stronger structure, all wires are hidden, and a more appealing/finish look. The unit is supposed to resemble a robotic arm with hydraulic tubes. It was designed for prints to be less effected by vibrations. With the 1 solid frame, any vibrations of any axis will cause the other axis to move with it. For example: If the X axis causes a slight vibration/1mm movement to the right, the Z and Y axis will also move that 1mm to the right. This will result in a better print as everything will remain squared.

Keep CNC Wood Router Parts Rust Free


After using cnc wood router for a while, you must will think that how to keep some parts of cnc wood router rust free? Here introduce some tips.

Oil Lubrication
When you works on metal material, better use oil to cool down cutter, since the coolant tray may is metal, not steeless. and this oil could act as a rust preventive.
Shavings
Metal shavings collect in all areas inside the machine enclosure and, if ignored, can hold moisture and cause rust. Most cnc wood router have a conveyor to remove the bulk of these, but care should be taken to clean hard-to-reach places. Even if the shavings are a material that won't rust, they can cause metal parts in the cnc wood router to corrode.
Daily Cleaning
Keep clean the cnc wood router after working. This is the daily job. Mist from coolant and dust from cutting processes settle on all areas of the machine, inside and out. The dirt and grime can build up and damage the finish of painted surfaces and cause bare metal to rust. Use a mild degreaser to clean up after each use of the cnc wood router, followed by an application of light rust-preventive oil.

Trouble Shooting On No Home Point Back On CNC Wood Router


Yesterday, we received email from enduser about homepoint does not go back after completeing work oncnc wood router.
This is the email content:
i m from romania,and i buy last yaer a cnc machine router from you company
i am very satisfied of you re product cnc wood router i work many  pieces of wood furniture but  suddenlyit appearce a little problem who growing up
first the machine do not came at home origin...she goet at the limit and she kick the board limit
then i try to reset the limit in  remote in machine setup but  it wont works.
Here is the solution:
Firstly,there is home point back direction set in the DSP remote controller. The direction should be X +,Y+, Z-.
Then,it is because there is no command from wire to limit sensor. Please check the limist sensor wire if with power, or use metal piece to touch the limit sensor of cnc wood router to see if the light of limit sensor on the control board( in control cabinet) is bright or not.

Open Source 3d printed weapons project

There is an initiative for crowd-funding open source 3d printed .22 caliber weapons under the name Defense Distirbuted . It aims to develop singe disposable use small caliber pistol for personal defense.
This project will certainly bring out interesting debates in both open source and 3d printing community and get under spot light of mainstream media and law.
UPDATE: project promoters tried to  get funding trough Indiegogo, but Indiegogo canceled their campaign.

Similar concept was used in World War II with FP-45 Liberator mass produced single shot pistol which was simple and cheep to produce and was used by resistance movements.

Program Make On CNC Wood Router


Instructions of Porgram Make On CNC Wood Router
1Program the home information on the first line. This will tell the machine what type of material you are cutting and the maximum feed and speed rates to use for the cutting processes on cnc wood router. This line will include some G code, but mostly M codes, which refer to specific mechanical functions such as coolant flow, stops and air flow.
2Set the location of the first cut as well as the tool you will use for the operation. The program will use a logical course to bring the spindle to this location and start the cutting process. If the incorrect tool is in the spindle, the machine will recognize the tool change command and make the necessary changes.
3Program the remaining cuts with the tool in the spindle of cnc wood router for maximum efficiency. If you need to make a tool change, place it into the program on a separate line, as it will be easier for you or the operator to read. If there is a stop, type in the correct M code for that; simply tap the "Start" program button to continue.
4Place tool change commands and X, Y and Z coordinates for drilling. You can dictate the amount of drilling in a single pass based on the material. The machine will have standard pecking, but that can be altered. Aluminum can have long pecking cycles, while steel needs short rapid pecking on drilling cycles to clear chips and prevent heat buildup.
5Use G code to call up macro programs. Macro programs are preset cycles that reside within a program. These are often called canned cycles and are used for simple, repeated operations. You can also program tapping and boring cycles using G code.
6Set the finish line on the program, which will call the spindle back to the home position of cnc wood router. It will also stop the spindle and will stop the air or coolant using an M code. The finish line can also have information about repeating the program or starting over at a particular place. This cycle mid-start can help the programmer avoid repeating commands and saves time, as the machine will jump up to a previous operation and repeat it.

How do you use the TangiBot?

The TangiBot prints anything you can imagine out of ABS plastic.  You can design your own parts using free tools like tinkerCAD.com or Google Sketchup.  If you have access to a professional CAD tool like ProEngineer or Solidworks, those tools will also work.  You can also download parts from online.  One of the biggest and most popular places to download parts is thingiverse.com.  Many of the online design tools (like tinkerCAD) also have databases where you can search for parts to print.
Don't let the word "CAD" intimidate you.  CAD has long been a tool for professional engineers but in the last few years many free and easy to use tools have become available to the public.  I am a big fan of tinkerCAD because it is so easy to use.

What can you use your printed parts for?

I have used the parts I printed for all kinds of things.  Here is a list of some of the things I have printed on my TangiBot in the past few weeks:
  • Parts to fix the icemaker in my fridge (this saved me $100 in parts and $75 for a repair man)
  • New parts for my tripod (this saved me $25 and 1 week I didn't have to wait for shipping)
  • Parts to fix my toilet (this saved me $45 in parts and a trip to the hardware store)

My printer regularly runs 10-12 hours a day printing all kinds of things.  In the past few weeks my TangiBot has saved me about $300-350 because I have made things instead of having to buy them.

How much does the Plastic Cost?

Plastic can be bought from many sources on the internet.  The TangiBot uses 1.75/1.8mm filament plastic.  It can use either ABS or PLA plastic.  For 1Kg (2.2 lbs) of ABS plastic you will spend anywhere from $25-45 depending on the color and who you buy it from.  Plastic comes in all colors.  There are even special colors available like glow in the dark!
Your single extrusion TangiBot comes with 1Kg (2.2 lbs) of white ABS plastic.  The dual extrusion TangiBot comes with 2Kg of plastic - 1Kg of while and 1 Kg of black.

How much will 1Kg (2.2 lbs.) of plastic print? 

This is a tough question because it really depends on what you print.  I printed all of the stuff I listed above and used about 75% of a 1Kg spool.  Similar to a computers "draft" mode, the TangiBot has different settings you can use to control how much plastic you use when you print.  For example, you can decide if you want your parts to be anywhere from hollow to 100% solid.  In my example above, where I used 75% of a 1Kg spool, I printed most of the parts anywhere between 10% solid and 33% solid.

How was this prototype made?

The prototype you saw in the video was made by taking parts from three different sources.
  • I manufactured some of the parts locally in Utah
  • I bought parts like rods, motors, linear bearings, screws, nuts, etc. from suppliers
  • I took parts from a Makerbot Replicator
Before anyone cries foul and claims that using parts from a Makerbot Replicator in my prototype is cheating please consider the following. I have not yet produced any tooling to manufacture plastic parts. Plastics tooling requires a significant investment of money and yet, I need my prototype to be as close to production quality as possible. The parts I produce with my own plastic tooling will be identical to those made by Makerbot. Because of this, I used the plastic parts from a Makerbot Replicator in my TangiBot.

Who is 3DTangible?

3DTangible consists of me and a professional network of firmware, software, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers as well as manufacturing facilities. This is the same network of professionals that I used to develop Cricut Products while I was employed by Provo Craft.

How is 3DTangible able to make a Replicator Clone?

The MakerBot Replicator is open source.  In other words, Makerbot makes its design publically available on the internet.  Why do they do this?  Well, it may surprise some of you that Makerbot is required to do this.  You see, MakerBot used other open source designs when designing and producing their 3DPrinters.  When someone uses an open source design in their product they are required to share any improvements in the design with the world.  In other words, if you use open source and then improve on the design you have to share that improvement so that the rest of the world can benefit from it.  3DTangible will also be bound by these same laws and all the improvements we make to the design will also be shared with the public.

CNC Wood Router Operation Tips

CNC wood router using is for speed up production, improve product qautliy. Well, some times, unproper operation would cause material waste because of misplace and even takes more time to complete the workpieces.
Here are some tips for cnc wood router operation tips.
1. Check if clamps are unsuitable or abrased. The abrased badly clamp may cause misplace of workpiece or cnc wood router in the process of engraving. 
2. For unregular workpiece, you may see that it is fixed tightly, when it under the down force may could swash back and forth. Now, you could try to add some spent material for increasing friction, and also keep the unregular package with one piece of belt for easily be fixed. Or using clamps to fix its regular part, keep unregular part unfixed.

Pwdr is an open source powder-based rapid prototyping machine. Its goal is to promote experiments and innovations in powder-based rapid-prototyping. The machine is ready to use both the 3DP as the SLS process with minimal adaption, although the printer is currently prepped for 3DP.

Hardware
The Pwdr Model 0.1 consists of chassis, tool head and electronics. The printer entirely consists of off-the-shelf components. It has a simple design and can be built within a couple of hours. The machine is easy and affordable to build and modify. Building a Pwdr Model 0.1 machine costs about €1000,-.

Software
The accompanying software for the Pwdr Model 0.1 converts the CAD model in a printable format. This file is then uploaded to the Pwdr Model 0.1 micro-controller. The machine is controlled by easy-to-use software that allow full control of the printing process.The Pwdr Model 0.1 software has been based on open source tools like Arduino and Processing.

Materials
A whole new range of materials become available for experimenting with open-source rapid-prototyping; for example, when using the 3DP process: gypsum, ceramics, concrete, sugar, etc. And when the SLS process is fully supported, plastic materials like ABS, PP, Nylon and metals become available as building material.A Hewlett Packard inkjet cartridge is used for the deposition of binder. The cartridge can be refilled with custom binders using a syringe. A custom binder of 20% alcohol and 80% water has been proven to work.
