NVBots presents NVPrinter designed for schools with simplicity and automation as main features

New Valence Robotics presents new 3d printer aimed ad education institutions that features fully automatic 3d printing and part ejection with storage. The company wants to lease this NVPrinter they describe as "the first of its kind, fully automated, cloud-connected 3D printer," to schools for between $3,000 and $5,000 a year.

Lobo 3d printer developed by Jeff Kerr




Here is first look at Lobo 3D printer developed and built by Jeff Kerr. Jeff is known for his design of Feather non-cartesian 3d printer.

This new hybrid is developed and sold by "R & B rapid production UG". The German start up spun off from bbw college that has been in 3D printing business for some time.

This machine is combination of 3D printer, cnc mill and 3d scanner in one device. It is marketed as "universal machine". The toolheads can be exchanged very quickly in two minutes. 3d printing volume is 775 x 420 x 140 mm.
Full kit with all the toolheads is in higher price range of some 4000 euro, but it is more aimed at small and medium companies or high end prosumers.

BuildersBot 3d printer and CNC hybrid with welded steel frame

BuildersBot is new 3d printer / CNC hybrid with welded steel frame and big print volume.



Here is video overview of the machine itself and the main technical specs:



It has strong stainless steel MIG welded frame with aluminum rails which is the main fueature. It is controlled by Arduino Mega and a ramps 1.4 board. 3D printing volume is big at 500X600X200. Power is provided by four Nema 23 motors, and on the working end there are 0.5mm J-head and Kress 1050 Spindle MFE for CNC.
BuildersBot is developed by Aldric Negrier.

MOD-t is new contender at lowest priced consumer home 3d printer previously held by (still undelivered) M3D Micro. They also claim ease of use and combine their machine with model marketplace developed by Frog.

Topolabs developing non-layered 3d printing software




Current FDM 3d printers print in layers which comes with certain limitations and aesthetics.  Topolabs is developing software that will enable 3d printing freed from constrains of layered printhead paths.
