It looks like there are more new filament extruder projects showing up every day. Strooder from UK got successfully financed on Kickstarter. It uses usual screw feed system that moves pellets to hot end extruder.
I wonder will the business model of commercial filament extruder survive in competition with DIY machines that are very cheap and easy to make like Filament Factory and if the filament prices fall. Also there is new range of 3d printers that will be able to print from pellets directly.
